Recruitment Process

Questioning Phase

You are required to answer the questions asked by our members with minimal repetition to the answers in your application. You will be judged with accordance to whatever you have presented to us, such as your grammar, attitude and behavior.

The Questioning Phase can be hard or easy, depending on your application; if you spend more time making your application, chances are you would face less of an issue in the Questioning Phase, and vice versa. Feel free to answer our questions by using the "Quote" function. On a topic, press the following button to quote a post:

The Questioning Phase will last for 3 to 5 days. After which, the title of your topic would be changed to (Insert Username Here) #2 [Voting Phase].

Voting Phase

Members will vote in favour or against you in your application. Normal members will vote with +1 or -1 whilst Unofficial Members will vote with +0.5 or -0.5.

Accepted

If you are applying for Member, your application will be accepted when:

  • You receive a sum of votes at any point of time. To illustrate, if you receive 8 +1s, and one -1, your sum will be +7; if you have one +1, and 6 -1s, your sum will be -5.
  • You receive votes after 7 days.

The title of your topic will then be changed to (Insert Username Here) #2 [Testing Phase].

However, in the off chance that you are applying for Member but:

  • You do not have the votes but you do have at least votes on your application after 7 days

You will be accepted as an Unofficial Member. The title of your topic will then be changed to (Insert Username Here) #2 [Accepted]. You may be promoted to Member if seen fit, after at least a month. Until then, you will remain as an Unofficial Member.

If you are applying for Unofficial Member, your application will be accepted when:

  • You receive a sum of votes at any point of time. To illustrate, if you receive 8 +1s, and one -1, your sum will be +7; if you have one +1, and 6 -1s, your sum will be -5.
  • You receive votes after 7 days.

The title of your topic will then be changed to (Insert Username Here) #2 [Accepted]. You may be promoted to Member if seen fit, after at least a month. Until then, you will remain as an Unofficial Member.

Denied

Regardless of the membership you are applying for, your application will be denied when:

  • You receive -4 votes at any point of time.
  • You have yet to receive a sum of votes after 7 days.

The title of your topic will then be changed to (Insert Username Here) #2 [Denied]. You can reapply after a week if this is the first time your application has been denied. However, you will have to wait for 2 weeks to re-apply should you get denied the second time onwards. That means that you will have to wait for 2 weeks even if you are trying to re-apply for the 10th time (although you should consider dropping the idea of applying at that point).

Voided

If you change your mind about joining us or whenever you wish to improve your own application and apply at a later date, you may void your application. Voiding is only permitted during the Questioning Phase. You can re-apply in a week if you want to, but take note that the second time you void your own application, you will have to wait for 2 weeks to re-apply.

Note: Only the most recent applications from each category (Accepted/Denied/Voided) are displayed to the public.

Testing Phase

When your application gets accepted, look for a tester listed in the GeNo’s Official Testers thread.

Depending on how well you’ve done in the test, the tester will then either accept your application, or tell you to retake your test in a week. Once accepted, which is when the title of your topic changes to (Insert Username Here) #2 [Accepted], you can put on the [GeNo] tag. Unofficial Members will remain as they are until fulfilling the requirements listed in the Minimum Requirements thread.
